Assisting Native American Nations
Since 1997, the Sociology Water Lab has been assisting the Navajo Nation with water user association development efforts. This activity has occurred in conjunction with the Navajo Nation Department of Water Resources, Water Management Branch, as well as various Navajo Nation farm boards in the area. The first activity was funded through the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, while the second activity is currently being funded by the Western Center for Risk Management Education.
